The European Investment Bank (EIB), Europe’s public bank and major lending arm, is the biggest multilateral financial institution in the world and one of the largest providers of climate finance. Since its establishment in 1958, the bank has invested over a trillion euros.

Its programs focus on climate and environment, innovation and digitalisation, small and medium-sized businesses, sustainable energy, and natural resources. It works closely with other EU institutions to foster European integration, promote the development of the EU and support EU policies in over 160 countries around the world. Headquartered in Luxembourg, it employs close to 4,000 people around the world.

When EIB engaged with waveL in 2021, the bank was eager to raise its profile at its home base, Luxembourg. 

We developed a strategic plan to support the bank to engage with stakeholders in the Grand Duchy, reach out to media, refine the bank’s narrative, and develop specific communication campaigns that support EIB’s storytelling in health, biotech, biodiversity, civil security, infrastructure, building, space, education, and governance, and help the bank partner with NGOs, public agencies, ministries, and the media in Luxembourg.
